Technology

Built on world-leading research, our patented MHz-frequency technology delivers efficient, contactless power transfer in environments where reliability, performance and operational continuity are critical.

HOW DOES MHZ-FREQUENCY INDUCTIVE POWER WORK?

Diagram showing MHz-frequency inductive power transfer

The wireless charging process

  • Our system accepts a wide range of AC and DC power inputs, converting them to the required DC voltage for the inverter
  • The inverter converts DC power into high-frequency AC at 13.56 MHz
  • The power transmitter coil generates a magnetic field at f
  • The magnetic field induces a current at f in the power receiver coil
  • The rectifier then turns the current back to DC for charging a battery, or any other use of DC power
  • TRL 8: Fully mature and proven for terrestrial applications up to 500 W (up to 2 kW with COTS amplifier)
  • TRL 5: Formally validated in relevant environments for subsea applications

OUR TECHNOLOGY ADVANTAGES

Operating at MHz frequencies, our wireless power technology delivers capabilities that conventional charging solutions simply cannot achieve.

High frequency

Uses single-turn, air-cored rings rather than conventional multi-turn, ferrite-cored coils.

98% efficiency

Minimises heat generation and thermal management requirements.

Barrier penetration

Projects power through non-conductive materials.

Zero moving parts

Eliminates mechanical wear and connectors while reducing maintenance requirements.

Fast charging capability

Supports multiple C-rate charging profiles.

Data & two-way power

Simultaneous power and data transfer with bi-directional energy capability.

WHY MEGAHERTZ?

Operating at MHz frequencies enables higher power density, improved efficiency and simpler coil architectures compared with conventional kHz-based wireless charging systems.
